We understand that one of the hardest things for an educator is to keep their students’ attention throughout the class. Keeping students engaged is even more difficult now, as teachers deal with hybrid classrooms, emerging technology, and different learning requirements.

Whiteboard is here to help — with intuitive controls, visually engaging content, and integration with the rest of the Microsoft ecosystem. Whiteboard makes teaching in the hybrid world easier and more effective.

What is Microsoft Whiteboard?

Whiteboard is a whiteboard for the modern day — a visual collaboration workspace where everyone can contribute on an infinite canvas as if you were all in the same room together.

Whiteboard shines when you need a freeform canvas to express ideas in rich and engaging ways. While it integrates directly with Microsoft Teams, you can use Whiteboard separately on any platform.

Whiteboard enables you to plan your lessons, present them in engaging ways, hold class discussions in inclusive ways, and assign homework for individuals or entire groups.

When to use Microsoft Whiteboard

Synchronous Teaching and Learning

Whiteboard can be used to collaborate with students, or to teach them in real time. The possibilities are endless, but here are some ideas: presenting a prepared lesson, an impromptu board for visual explanations, exit tickets, or even ice breakers.

Asynchronous Teaching and Learning

Whiteboard isn’t only useful when you’re in a room with your students. Use it to keep a calendar or bulletin board, share boards as examples or study notes, track long running projects, and even have students turn in their whiteboards for assignments.
