• To show or hide the ribbon, press CTRL+F1 on your keyboard.

  • For more control, select the Ribbon layout options down-arrow on the right side of the ribbon and choose a ribbon style and whether to show or hide it automatically.

  • If you don't see the ribbon at all, or you'd like to apply more settings, read about additional ribbon options.

  • You can also customize the ribbon and customize the Quick Access Toolbar.

Tip: To pin Word to the Windows taskbar, right-click the Word icon, and select Pin to taskbar. For more details, see How to use the taskbar in Windows.
